An ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive, diagnostic imaging procedure that allows us to take a closer look at your pet’s internal structures. Unlike X-rays, which offer general pictures of your pet’s body structures, an ultrasound reveals more precise details. We use our ultrasound to search for fluid, cysts, abscesses, tumors, or abnormal blood flow by evaluating the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, gallbladder, intestines, urinary bladder, and spleen. Ultrasonography allows our veterinarian to help form an accurate diagnosis by providing more pieces to the puzzle.
