Dr. Kait Knerr was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She received her bachelor's of science from the University of Arizona, and her DVM from Colorado State University in 2019. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Knerr moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she practiced small animal medicine and acupuncture at a private practice for 3.5 years. During this time, she knew that one day she would return to Colorado but didn’t realize how soon that would be! Dr. Knerr's primary interests include pain management, geriatric and hospice care, preventative care, feline medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, and a little bit of everything else! She loves a challenging medicine case where she can focus on making the pet feel better while solving the underlying issue. She has a special spot in her heart for old pets of all sizes and the feisty kitties. Dr. Knerr loves to integrate acupuncture in pain management protocols, as well as other illnesses when indicated. In her free time, Dr. Knerr enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and menagerie of pets including Olive (golden retriever), Winston (maltipoo), Finn (domestic short hair), Sawyer (Siamese), and Bertha (bearded dragon). When she isn’t busy being a mom and veterinarian, she greatly enjoys cuddling up with a good book, yoga, and Pilates. She is so excited to be living in Colorado and to start fostering long term relationships with her clients and their pets.
